Additional Application & Program Details

Yes—this program does not provide relocation packages, sign-on bonuses, or retention bonuses, and does not support travel nurse positions.

Your salary and benefits will be competitive and on par with your peers and will not be affected by participation in the program, as this is meant to be an added benefit—though you may be subject to income tax for some or all of the loan payments made by the employer on your behalf. You should consult with a tax professional if you have any questions regarding tax consequences.

You can voluntarily choose to leave the Nursing Scholars Program at any time. If you do so, you are responsible for paying any remaining cost of your loan.³

Similarly, if you involuntarily leave the program at any time by violating the terms of your employment (e.g., failing to remain in good academic standing, violating college policy, being found unfit to practice which would result in termination), you will be responsible for any remaining balance of your loan.³

Selected and approved Mon Health Fellows Program participants will be eligible to be assigned to a Mon Health integrated health care delivery system location, with the final assignment being presented to the candidate no sooner than three months prior to graduation.

You may be subject to income tax for some or all of the loan payments made by the Nursing Scholars program on your behalf. You should consult with a tax professional if you have any questions regarding tax consequences of the Nursing Scholars Program.

If Mon Health selects you for participation in the program, and you successfully complete FinWise Bank underwriting and credit requirements for loan funding, up to $20,000 of your final year’s tuition will be financed through Stride Funding.¹ Mon Health will repay the entirety of your loan as installments over the course of up to the first 3 (three) years of your employment.³

You can voluntarily choose to leave the Mon Health Fellows Program at any time.³ Should you choose to voluntarily leave early, or your employment is terminated with cause, you will assume the responsibility of the loan repayment with the following terms:

  • Your loan funding or the remaining balance will be paid back at 9.00% APR over the course of 120 months (ten years) minus the number of months worked.⁴

No. Completing this program application is not equivalent to submitting an application for funding, and selection is not guaranteed and is not determined by Stride Funding or FinWise Bank. To be accepted into the Scholars Program, you must successfully complete each of the above requirements set by the employer, be formally selected into the program by the employer, and then apply for and be approved for the loan program made available through Stride Funding.

1 Financing may be up to $20,000 for BSN program enrollees and up to $10,000 for ADN program enrollees. Loans will be issued by FinWise Bank, a Utah-chartered bank, Member FDIC. All loans are subject to individual approval and adherence to underwriting guidelines. Program restrictions, other terms, and conditions apply.

2 Stride Funding or FinWise Bank’s loans are not endorsed by Noodle. Stride Funding and FinWise Bank are not affiliated with Noodle.

3 Mon Health will pay back up to $20,000 for BSN program enrollees and up to $10,000 for ADN program enrollees funding for up to 3 years worked for the employer. In case of voluntary employment termination, students will pay the remaining outstanding amount. Students are personally responsible for the financial obligations under the loan agreement. Any agreement between student and employer sponsor is entirely separate from the loan obligation and will not in any way offset student’s obligations to FinWise unless payments are made by student or any other party on student’s behalf.

4 The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is fixed at the time of application and does not change during the life of the loan. This repayment example uses typical loan terms for a student borrower in their senior year with a 120-month repayment term, has a $20,000 loan that is disbursed in one (1) disbursements and a 9% fixed Annual Percentage Rate (“APR”) and does not work for Mon Health for any period of time: 120 monthly payments of $277.12 while in the repayment period, for a total amount of payments of $33,254.12. The Interest on your student loan begins to accrue (grow) on the first day we disburse your loan funds to your school.

5 You may be subject to income tax for some or all of the loan payments made by Mon Health on your behalf. You should consult with a tax professional if you have any questions regarding tax consequences of the Mon Health Fellows Program.

6 RN-BSN graduates are eligible, provided that they are not currently employed at Mon Health.
