Your salary and benefits will be competitive and on par with your peers and will not be affected by participation in the program, as this is meant to be an added benefit—though you may be subject to income tax for some or all of the loan payments made by the employer on your behalf. You should consult with a tax professional if you have any questions regarding tax consequences.

You can voluntarily choose to leave the Nursing Scholars Program at any time. If you do so, you are responsible for paying any remaining cost of your loan.³

Similarly, if you involuntarily leave the program at any time by violating the terms of your employment (e.g., failing to remain in good academic standing, violating college policy, being found unfit to practice which would result in termination), you will be responsible for any remaining balance of your loan.³

You may be subject to income tax for some or all of the loan payments made by the Nursing Scholars program on your behalf. You should consult with a tax professional if you have any questions regarding tax consequences of the Nursing Scholars Program.

No. Completing this program application is not equivalent to submitting an application for funding, and selection is not guaranteed and is not determined by Stride Funding or FinWise Bank. To be accepted into the Scholars Program, you must successfully complete each of the above requirements set by the employer, be formally selected into the program by the employer, and then apply for and be approved for the loan program made available through Stride Funding.

¹ Loans will be issued by FinWise Bank, a Utah-chartered bank, Member FDIC. All loans are subject to individual approval and adherence to underwriting guidelines. Program restrictions, other terms, and conditions apply.

² Stride Funding or FinWise Bank’s loans are not endorsed by Noodle. Stride Funding and FinWise Bank are not affiliated with Noodle.

³ Evangelical Community Hospital will pay back up to $40,000 of tuition funding for up to 3 years worked for the employer. In case of voluntary employment termination, students will pay the remaining outstanding amount. Students are personally responsible for the financial obligations under the loan agreement. Any agreement between student and employer sponsor is entirely separate from the loan obligation and will not in any way offset student’s obligations to FinWise unless payments are made by student or any other party on student’s behalf.

⁴ The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is fixed at the time of application and does not change during the life of the loan. This repayment example uses typical loan terms for a student borrower in their senior year with a 120-month repayment term, has a $40,000 loan that is disbursed in one (1) disbursements and a 9% fixed Annual Percentage Rate (“APR”) and does not work for Evangelical Community Hospital for any period of time: 120 monthly payments of while in the repayment period. The Interest on your student loan begins to accrue (grow) on the first day we disburse your loan funds to your school.

⁵ You may be subject to income tax for some or all of the loan payments made by Evangelical Community Hospital on your behalf. You should consult with a tax professional if you have any questions regarding tax consequences of the Evangelical Community Hospital Nursing Scholars Program.
